Members are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy. If they do not cancel their bookings via the online booking platform within 24 hours or do not arrive for their tee time they will be charged 100% cancellation fee.
Members will also be charged 1 round from their account for every guest they have booked.
It is the Members responsibility to cancel or amend the bookings via the online members portal.
Please be advised we practice dynamic pricing here at the Fairmont, St. Andrews. Prices are subject to change throughout the year. Refunds will not be issued to guests should the price change between point of purchase and date of play.
Cancelling your tee time within 7 days
Any booking cancelled or decreased in number within 7 days of the tee time are subject to a 100% cancellation policy.
Cancelling your tee time outside 7 days
Any bookings cancelled or decreased in number outside 7 days can be done so with no cancellation charge. A full refund will be given for all green fees and associated service items. To receive a refund please email email@example.com stating your booking date and time.
Increasing the number of players in your booking
If you wish to increase the number of players on your booking, please contact us directly on 01334 837023. We will check availability; make the amendments and process payment for the additional players. Please note any additional golfers added to your booking will then be subject to the above cancellation policy.
Decreasing the number of players in your booking outside 7 days
If you wish to decrease the number of players in your booking outside of 7 days please contact us directly on 01334 837023. We will amend your booking and provide a full refund on all pre-paid green fees or associated service items. To receive a refund please email firstname.lastname@example.org stating your booking date and time.
Decreasing the number of players in your booking within 7 days
If you wish to decrease the number of players in your booking within 7 days please contact us directly on 01334 837023. Unfortunately the cancelled players will be subject to a 100% cancellation policy on all green fees. Any service items decreased will not be subject to a cancellation fee.
Postponing your tee time within 24 hours
You can postpone your tee time to a later date but this amendment must be a minimum of 24 hours before your original booking. Requests to change a booking within 24 hours will not be allowed and 100% cancellation fee be applied.
Postponing your tee time outside of 24 hours
If you wish to change the tee time or postpone the date of your tee time outside of 24 hours we will try to arrange this for you subject to the availability. You will simply have to pay the difference between the price of your original booking and the price of the new tee time. To postpone your tee time please call 01334 837023.
All caddy bookings are subject to a 72 hour 100% cancellation fee.
Tee times are based on playing in four-balls and therefore you may be paired up with other golfers on the day.
To proceed with your booking request, we require advance payment of the total price for all players included in your booking request plus any service items you require by debit or credit card.
By entering your payment details you confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit or debit card to use it. All credit and debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If your card issuer refuses to authorise payment, we will not be able to process your booking.
Frost and Snow
Playing golf in frosty conditions can cause irreparable damage to the playing surfaces. Therefore when frost is present, tee times will be delayed until the greens have fully thawed, thereby reducing the likelihood of causing lasting damage to the grasses. Should golfers miss their tee time as a result of the course being closed due to frost, reasonable endeavours will be made to re-schedule the time for that day subject to availability. If the tee time cannot be re-scheduled, a replay voucher will be issued, valid for 2 months.
A 2 month complimentary voucher will apply should the courses be closed due to snowfall or if snowfall stops play mid round.
In the event of heavy rain, play will be suspended and the course temporarily closed when it is no longer possible to putt out on the greens. When play is once again possible, golfers should resume play from where they stopped and carry on with their round. If golfers decide to abandon their round, rather than wait for 1 hour for the rain to cease, refunds will not apply. If conditions do not improve within an hour of suspension and less than 12 holes have been played, a complimentary round to return will be issued, valid for 2 months.
Fog / Haar
As a general guide, it is considered safe to play when the hotel is visible from the clubhouse. In the event of fog or haar whilst on the golf courses, the decision to stop or continue play lies with the golfers, as it is recognised that conditions can change from minute to minute. Golfers will be advised of conditions prior to teeing off. If golfers decide not to start, reasonable endeavours will be made to re-schedule their tee time either later that day or for another day depending on availability. No refund will be given to golfers who start their round in these conditions but decide to abandon play. Instead a complimentary voucher will be issued provided less than 12 holes have been played. Voucher valid for 2 months.
In the event of lighting within the immediate area of the golf course, golfers are advised to cease play. A suspension of play for a dangerous situation such as lightning will be signalled by one prolonged single blast of the klaxon. Golfers should make their way to the clubhouse building until the lightning has moved away. When it is safe for play to resume, this will be signalled by two short blasts of the klaxon, meaning golfers may return to their place on the course. No refund will be given to golfers who start their rounds but choose not to resume play after the resumption of play. Instead a complimentary voucher will be issued provided less than 12 holes have been played. Voucher valid for 2 months.
We do not offer weather vouchers for high winds. Golfers will be advised of conditions prior to teeing off, with the decision whether to play or not being left to golfers discretion.
The decision to close the course will be at the discretion of the Director of Golf or Course superintendent and will be made with golfers safety as the highest priority.
Any golfer hiring a golf board, electric trolley, pull trolley, golf cart or rental clubs are subject to the following terms and conditions.
Terms and Conditions
By accepting the booking terms & conditions I agree to accept all responsibility for the safe operation and return of all of the equipment I have rented. I also accept full responsibility or any insurance claims for any damage to these items or injury caused to any person(s) including myself. I also agree to pay the full retail replacement cost for any hire item lost or damaged while in my possession for the duration of the rental. The consumption of alcohol and/ or the improper use of drugs is not permitted when using the ride on buggy or golf board. Fairmont St Andrews are not held responsible for any damage or injury to equipment or person (s) if the golfer is under the influence of alcohol or drug use. Golfers purchasing alcohol directly from Fairmont St Andrews do so at their own risk, Fairmont St Andrews do not take any responsibility for golfers actions after purchasing alcohol from Fairmont St Andrews.
Fairmont St Andrews do not allow golfers to bring their own alcohol onto the course. Any alcohol consumed on the golf course must be purchased from our refreshment cart of clubhouse bar.
- We reserve the right to search bags.
- Alcohol not purchased from Fairmont St Andrews will be confiscated.
- Golfers not complying will be required to leave and fees forfeited.
Most clubs reserve the right to refuse access to the course or the clubhouse if you behave without due consideration to other players. Refunds will not be payable in these circumstances.
You are responsible for any damage or loss to person or property that you cause and we require all damage to be paid for in full at the time that it occurs.
